Does a yarn along entry count if I am not actually knitting right now, just dreaming of making
someone (preferably my husband...hi, baby!) a hat for Christmas? How about if I am the volunteer parent helping Lala and her classmates make (sand a point, beeswax, and add a bead to a dowel) their own knitting needles and learn to cast on? That is as close as I am getting right now. Oh...and continuing to read Chicks With Sticks.
Sanding her needles. There is something so sweet about a class of kids, singing while making knitting needles.And the books I am reading. My current mode of reading is several books as once. Since many are library books, sometimes I have re-request so I can finish them!
All of these are great books, by the way. Urban Homesteading is one I have checked out more than 3 times now and have added to my wish list. Ditto for Super Natural Cooking. Raising a Son is on loan from my friend, Marina. It is one of several she handed to me in response to my asking what to do with Finn Luca when he acts so "boy." Within the first several pages, little boys are summed up as wanting to know "Who's the boss? What are the rules? and Are you going to enforce them?" I wrote this down, adding "gently with firm love" on a 3x5 card and put it on my fridge as a reminder!
