pay-it-forward

i have had the pleasure of participating in a pay it forward chain. moo mama posted on her blog, i replied, and received this sweet little package of goodies this week! (do you see the trivet is made by her 8 year old?!)

perfect timing, this little package arrived in a week during which our washing machine, kitchen aid mixer, and my sewing machine all died. (yep, add my sewing machine to the list!) the pick-me-up was most welcome, moo mama, thank you!

now it is my turn to pay it forward! i will randomly pick 3 people who comment on this post (include an email or blog address, please!) and each will receive a small little goody packet from me. in turn, you must pay it forward to 3 other people in some way.

a lovely idea, isn't it?

have a wonderful weekend!

edited to add: sorry i was completely unclear about this! they all died this week, but mike managed to fix the washer by taking it apart. it was a clogged internal filter, apparently commonplace in this model. the kitchen aid has been taken apart and the broken part has been ordered. (this broke once before about 3 months ago.) the sewing machine ...hmmmm

All of those died! Oh my goodness. Our sewing machine is dead, again. But maybe I told you that already. Damien and Celine did something to it while sewing her backpack. Gr.... not at them but at being without a sewing machine yet again - I feel your pain, though not quite as much since you are a "real" seamstress. Speaking of which, those pants for Finn using the shirt sleeves are cuter than cute!

Yes, consider this an official "put me into the hat" comment for this giveaway.

Your washing machine? I thought that was pretty new- what happened? Is it a front-loader? We have one, and yes, they use much less water, and yes, they are much more of a pain in the ass. I'm not sure the water savings is worth it.

All 3 died! I don't have a kitchenaid but you're welcome to come use our washer any time tonight or this weekend. We'll be around...

i edited to add....the washing machine is fixed now, the kitchen aid part is ordered, and the sewing machine, well.... :(

LisaH what a generous offer! thank you! mike fixed the machine. we also have parents in the area whose machines we could borrow if needed.
gross, but the darn thing broke with dirty diapers in it. luckily, the broken part was the spin dry, so they were clean, just wet, at that point.

Handy Hardworking Hubbies are sent from Heaven. A water pipe burst in our front yard yesterday and by last night by husband had it fixed. He had to dig a hole about 3or 4 feet deep and 2 x 3 ft wide. He said that for every shovel load he thought "I wish I were paying someone to do this" but for every shovel load I was thinking "I am so glad we aren't paying someone to do this". .... The pay it forward idea is great. N -I think you will know who posted this so I am not going to incude my name.

Don't add me into the pay-it-forward as i'll be away before I can pass it on - but ouch on the sewing machine! Must be an overuse injury....:0) My mom sews a lot too burns through machines every 5-10 years (and those are new ones!). Bummer on the kitchenaid too, though that at least sounds hopeful!

They all died at once? Well they say things happen in threes, so maybe you're in for a string of good luck now!
